Civic Amenity in Falkirk

Falkirk & District Art Club

Falkirk & Distict Art Club is a very active organisation which was born on 15th.January 1965 and for the last five decades has maintained its original purpose i.e. To promote the Fine Arts in Falkirk & District.

Every alternate Friday there is a Self Help night to encourage members to paint.Every other Friday we have Professional Artists give Demonstrations in a wide variety of mediums.

The Club welcomes new members so if you feel the urge to paint then come along to the Erskine Church Hall any Monday evening at 7.15pm

ArtShare evenings are held on the alternate Fridays to our Demonstrations from September to April and once Demonstrations cease they are held every Friday evening - with a few weeks off in the summer for holidays. ArtShare is basically a self help evening so that beginners and members can always find someone who can give them help and guidance - currently there are around 25 members who attend regularly throughout the year.

Our Demonstrations are given by Professional Artists and Artisans employed by the Art Club. A wide spectrum of subjects are covered in a variety of Mediums. Our demonstrations give our members an unparalleled opportunity to meet leading local Artists face to face and get the benefit of their experience. The Club's main Exhibition is held annually as part of Falkirk's Tryst Festival.

The Annual Membership fee for normal members is £45. Junior Members are welcome provided that they are accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also a member of the Club.
